Olivia Banuls now holds the pool record for 8 and under breaststroke with a time of 22.88

Georgia Haeni now holds the team record for 9-10 breaststroke with a time of 19.19

Lucy Scott now holds the team record for 13-14 breaststroke with a time of 35.34

At Relay Carnival on June 28, our girls broke a team record in the 200 SC Meter Medley Relay with a time of 2:13.20. Jessica Block, Lucy Scott, Remy Caspar, Abby Chen

A very special THANK YOU to Charlie Penn for organizing Palisades' Swim-a-thon this year. From messaging, to collecting funds, to buying pancake mix, blueberries, chocolate chips, and syrup, to set up and clean-up, they did it all. Thank you, also, to Holly and Kate for getting to the pool early to set up, George for setting up music and keeping us all entertained, Marcus Chen for capturing the event with his beautiful photography, the lap counters, the pancake flippers, the setter-uppers and the clean-up crew, the swimmers, and all who donated.

Action item for Wednesday’s B Meet: If you entered your swimmer’s availability and events before today at 2 pm, please re-enter this information (deadline Monday, 6 pm). They can swim up to 3 individual strokes, plus IM (only if legal in all four strokes). Swimmers who placed 1-3 at Saturday’s A Meet (July 4) may not swim that particular event. Thank you!

On Tuesday, July 7th, there is no afternoon practice for swim team because several of our swimmers will be swimming in the MCSL-wide Coaches Long Course at Rockville Fitness Center. (There IS pre-team from 3:45-4:15!) (Very) fast swimming starts at 6 pm. Come out to cheer on our Porpoises and then join us at Carmen’s Italian Ice to celebrate (and cool off). Special congrats to these Porpoises who will be swimming at Coaches Long Course!

  • 5:15 - 6 pm, 10 and under (no afternoon practice on Tuesday, July 7)

• Mini-meet July 14th: Tilden Woods hosts the annual Celine Silver mini-meet, open only to our 8 and under swimmers. Events include a kickboard event and the evening ends with some of our youngest swimmers completing their first IM! No afternoon practices that day.
• Spirit Relays July 15th: Intra-squad all-relay meet at Palisades. Sign up to help!
