2026 Meets and Events


For 2026, Palisades will compete in Division V of the Montgomery County Dive League (MCDL). Meets will be held on Sundays at 4 pm. 


ROOKIE PRE-MEET:

June 7, warmups begin at 10.00am at Regency Estates: All new divers and parents are invited to attend to learn what a dive meet is all about!


DUAL MEET SCHEDULE:

June 14: Bannockburn @ Palisades (home)

June 21: Palisades @Inverness (away)

June 28: Potomac @ Palisades (home)

July 5: Flower Valley, Palisades @ Seven Locks (away)

July 12: Palisades @ Twin Farms (away)

ROBIN HOOD INVITATIONAL:

Friday, July 17, 3 pm: All non-divisional divers are invited to attend


DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP:

Participation in the Division Championship is by coach invitation only.

Sunday, July 19, at 8 am: Division V Championship at Palisades


ALL-STARS:

Divers qualify for all-stars by competing at the Division Championship or by invitation from the coach.

July 22: 12 & under competition @ Flower Valley

July 23: 13 & up competition @ Flower Valley

Palisades Dive Meets 101


    Who Can Participate?

    All registered divers are welcome and encouraged to participate in meets!

    Divers who are still working on the required skills for their age group may participate as Exhibition Divers. Exhibition divers participate in their age group like all other divers, but their scores do not count toward places or team points.


    Arrival and Warmups

    All divers should arrive at least 10 minutes before warmups.

    Home meets: Warm-ups begin 1 hour before the meet.
    Away meets: Warm-ups begin 30 minutes before the meet.


    Dive Sheets

    If your diver plans to participate in a meet, they must fill out a dive sheet with a coach during Palisades dive practice on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday before the meet.


    Dive Requirements by Age Group


    8 & Under

    3 dives required

    • Forward dive or lineup
    • Back jump or back dive/lineup
    • 1 optional dive, which may include a back jump or a more complex dive

    Ages 9–10

    3 dives required

    • Forward dive or lineup
    • Back dive or lineup
    • 1 optional dive, which may include a back jump or a more complex dive

    Ages 11–12

    4 dives required

    • Forward dive or lineup
    • Back dive or lineup
    • 2 optional dives, which may include a front jump, back jump, or more complex dives
    • Optional dives must be in different directions

    Ages 13–14

    5 dives required

    • Forward dive or lineup
    • Back dive or lineup
    • 3 optional dives, which may include a front jump, back jump, or more complex dives
    • Optional dives must be in different directions

    Ages 15–18

    6 dives required

    • Forward dive or lineup
    • Back dive or lineup
    • Inward dive
    • 3 optional dives, which may include a front jump, back jump, or more complex dives
    • Optional dives must be in different directions

    Ribbons

    All divers receive ribbons in our league.

    Ribbons are awarded for 1st through 4th place, and participant ribbons are given to all other divers.
