Palisades Porpoises

We are so excited for the 2026 swim season!

The Palisades Porpoises Swim Team participates in the Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL), a summer recreational and developmental league. This summer, we will be swimming in Division F. 

Important Dates!

Saturday, May 23 & Sunday, May 24, 9 - 10 am: practice for all returning swim team members.  

Monday, May 25, 3 - 5 pm: Swim assessments- if you have a young Porpoise unsure about Swim Team, sign up for a swim assessment here. 

Monday, May 25:

• 9 - 10 am practice for all swimmers on Swim Team! (returning and new)
• 9:30 am: Parent meeting
• Swim suit swap! Please bring your gently loved Palisades gear to share. (This is ongoing until Time Trials on June 6th)

Afternoon practices will start on a regular schedule for Swim Team on Tuesday, May 26th. 

• Swim Team, ages 11 and up: 4:15 - 5:15 pm
• Swim Team, 10 and under: 5:00 - 6:00 pm 

• Morning practices will be added beginning Monday, June 22 (8:30-9:30 am for all age groups). Afternoon and morning practices continue on this schedule through Friday, July 17th.

Pups and Pre-Team practices will begin on Monday, June 22: 

• Pups: M, W, F: 3:45 - 4:15 pm
• Pre-Team: M, W, F: 8-830 am and/or T, Th, F: 3:45 - 4:15 pm

Mini Meet for Pups and Pre-Team at Tilden Woods in the evening of July 14th.

Please note: we are unable to refund or pro-rate fees, and sibling discounts are available ONLY at the time of the first swimmer's registration. Not sure you want to commit? Come to the first week of practice to test it out, May 25-29. Please email [email protected] before you go to notify the A meet reps, and to let the coaches know.

We are so excited for our 2026 summer season with our new Dive Coaching Team!

We participate in the Montgomery County Dive League (MCDL), a fun, summer recreation and developmental league. This summer, our summer dive regular season will run May 23 - July 17, followed by Divisionals (July 19) and All-stars competitions (July 22/23). 

Important Dates: 

• We'll kick off the season with Memorial Day weekend practices for all divers 10-11 a.m. Sat/Sun/Mon. 
• Afternoon practices start the Tuesday after Memorial Day. Our practices are held at the same time as swim practices, but we flip age groups so that kids can join both swim team and dive team if interested. 
• Please note we will not have practices May 29th-31st

Beginning Monday, June 22, there will be two afternoon dive practice times:

• 4:15 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.: Divers ages 10 and under
• 5:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.: Divers ages 11 and older

This schedule is intended to accommodate athletes who are members of both swim and dive teams. Please note: younger divers who attend 4:15-5:15p dive practice do not need to join the swim team dryland warm up from 5:00-5:15p. They can join at 5:15p when dive practice ends. 

• Once MCPS is out for the summer, we will start morning practices on June 22nd as follows:
  • 9:00 - 10:00am for 10 and under 
  • 10:00 - 11:00am for 11 and older

Afternoon and morning practices continue on this schedule through Friday, July 17th.
