Dear Palisades Porpoises,

We have a very exciting few days of swimming ahead of us! We wanted to share a few notes and reminders:

1) Photos, including July 7 Team Photo: 
- Check out Marcus Chen's photos of the fun and festive July 4th swimathon: https://adobe.ly/3PIzSdn. Thank you, Lilly Spector and family, for setting up an amazing event for a great cause!
- Be sure to be at Palisades on 7/7 by 6pm for the team photo (rain date: 7/14, 6pm). Swimsuits or green team shirts are recommended. The photo will be followed by a hot dog/popsicle/spirit poster/Mardi Gras mask pep rally!

2) July 8 Meet vs. Northwest Branch:
- Please arrive for warm-ups at 7:45am. Officials will convene at 8:30am; timers will meet at 8:40am, and the meet will start at 9:00am.
- The meet theme is jerseys, so wear your favorite!
- It is also our Senior Sendoff! At halftime of the meet, we will announce and have younger Porpoises kick down the pool for: Ava Bohinc, Sam Lev, Max Medish, Norah Rothman, Aiden Williams, and Finn Van Riper. 
- At the barbecue following the meet, Coach Claire will share more information about each senior, and we will have a special dessert.

3) Relay Carnival at Tanterra on Sunday, July 9:
- Swimmers need to be on deck at Tanterra at 8:10am, and we STRONGLY RECOMMEND arriving earlier, as we are in the last warm-up group.
- Parking is available in the lot next to the pool, and possibly on the grass just past the pool if it has not recently rained. If it has recently rained, please park on the neighborhood streets and walk to the pool. While we understand that ticketing will not be an issue, please allow extra time for parking and walking to the meet.
- The meet theme is Mardi Gras, so bring your masks from the pep rally, and beads will be provided.

4) Coaches' Long Course on Tuesday, July 11:
- Four Palisades swimmers have qualified for Coaches Long Course! They are: Graham Musser, Lucy Scott, Charlie Penn, and Claire Yoder.
- It's a big, fun meet; come watch and cheer next Tuesday night at Rockville Swim & Fitness Center (355 Martins Lane, Rockville).
