Hi Palisades Dive families,

I wanted to give you a quick heads up about the rest of the summer dive season and ask for your help in planning a fun end of season party. We have two more dual meets (this Sunday at Palisades and next Sunday at Old Farm), then our season winds down.

End of Season Banquet

We need your help! Are you willing to help plan the end of season banquet for our dive team? I would like a small group of parent volunteers to help plan a fun evening for our summer dive community. If you are interested, please email me ASAP!

Upcoming End of Season Meets:

When this season started, we were still operating under COVID restrictions that were expected to affect how our dual meets operated and would prevent us from holding the end of season favorites like Division Championships, the Robin Hood Invitational and All-Stars. What a difference six weeks makes! MCDL, our summer dive league, now is planning to hold all three events! Please see below for details.

Friday, July 23 at 3:30 pm: Robin Hood Invitational Meet

This fun meet is open to divers from all four MCDL divisions who are not selected to compete in the division championships (see below). It is hosted by Robin Hood Swim Club in Silver Spring. The purpose of the meet is to promote the growth of competitive diving, good sportsmanship, and camaraderie among divers in the MCDL.

Sunday, July 25, 8 am: Divisional Championships

Palisades will host the Division III Championships on Sunday, July 25. The coaches will select up to two divers from each age group to represent Palisades at the Divisional meet. Divers selected to compete at divisionals will be notified within a few days after our final dual meet on July 18. To be eligible to compete at divisionals, a diver must have competed in at least two dual meets (non-exhibition).

Wednesday, July 28: All-Stars (12 & under)

Thursday, July 29: All-Stars (13 & up)

Divers who place 1st - 3rd in divisionals will be eligible to compete in the All-Star meet. Palisades will have an opportunity to select up to two additional Wild Card divers to compete at All-Stars.
