4th of July Swimathon
Liza Gunther, a graduating Palisades Porpoise who is running our Swimathon this year, urges you to participate in this annual tradition in memory of Claire Schmidt.
Be part of this important Palisades tradition to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!
Here's how it works:
Before the Swim-A-Thon, pick up an information packet and pledge form from the lifeguard office starting June 22, (a rep will be at the pep rally), or go to events.lls.org/pages/nca/PalisadesPorpoises2018.
Ask friends and family to pledge by the lap or for a flat rate. Each swimmer should raise at least $20.18; many swimmers raise much more! You can still collect money after the Swim-A-Thon. It will be due in August.
On July 4th, swimmers should arrive at the pool at 8:15 am
and get ready to hop in at 8:30. They will have one hour to swim as many laps as they can. Volunteers will count laps.
At 9:30, swimmers and volunteers enjoy a pancake breakfast!
